About
Our blog is a collective of individuals looking to promote reading and the arts generally. During our reading sessions, we tackle challenges such as getting through 2,017 pages in 10 weeks or reading 10 books in 10 weeks. Currently, we are hanging out in Open Arts, where we encourage posting about books, film, museums, art, and anything creative you can think of! Join us!
Hi All, I am glad to be a part of the reading challenge. Gina convinced me to order Mrs. Peregine’s Home for Peculiar Children which I think will be a fun read. I currently need HOPE, so I have started Hope in the Dark: Untold Histories, Wild Possibilities by Rebecca Solnit. She’s a journalist, and the book was written in the wake of the Bush Administration’s invasion of Iraq. In a blurb about the book, Solnit is described as “…an optimist whose faith is deeply grounded in a knowledge of history.”
