Gertrude Stein & Jackson Pollock

Celebrating two, as Gertrude would say, geniuses, who share a birthday today!

And if you want to read a bit about this book, which I have not gotten my hands on, there’s an NPR review titled “Gertrude Stein’s Silly — and Stilted — ‘To Do'” But, hey, how many times has Stein been accused of writing nonsense? https://www.npr.org/2011/07/14/135852533/gertrude-steins-silly-and-stilted-to-do

And Jackson? How many times has someone stood in front of his paintings and said, “My kid could do that.”
