dante and aristotle

Shout out to my new brother in law who gave me this book when I was visiting in Seattle last month! This is a YA fiction book that will make you feel young again. I loved how it was written- these fun little snippet chapters. Most were only a page or two which kept me moving through it.  The prose were playful and poetic- really enjoyable to read.  The story is narrated by Ari, his self-given nickname.  His actual given name is Angel Aristotle.  He’s a very typical confused teenage boy who is looking for himself. He meets a friend, Dante, at the pool over the summer when they are just 15.  Dante is smart, deeply emotional, and very talkative. The two quickly become best friends and they have all kinds of ups and downs as you might imagine. I won’t say more of what happens…just read it!!! Hint, it’s a love story 😉

What a great way to start off the spring!
