Well, I’m back on the trilogy train though this time I’m hanging out with Margaret Atwood. I started reading this once before and it didn’t stick, but I am now committed to reading the trilogy which has made reading come more easily.
The first 100 pages were a little slow for me— sure, apocalypse, I think about it all the time. The rubble and destruction — the elimination of daily routine as instructed by the stock market.
Then it starts picking up– understanding who Oryx and Crake are is an important part of the story as you can imagine.
I am enjoying Atwood’s prose and her sense of humor. I hope to finish the trilogy as part of the challenge, but am trying also not to get too ahead of myself. Though immersion into these works feels good right now.
Has anyone out there read this trilogy?
