Kicking off summer reading with Fran Lebowitz talking about great writing at The Morgan Library in NYC. A delicious five minutes — I hope you enjoy. Of course, my implicit bias about letter writing continues 😉

I just re-listened to Ross Gay talk about his book Garden of Delights (https://onbeing.org/programs/ross-gay-on-the-insistence-of-joy/) which I recently reread. I was motivated to start a notebook of my own daily delights. This clip definitely qualifies. I love Fran Lebowitz. Thanks for the post, A.

Oh yes, this was five minutes well spent. Very well spent. Smart. Funny. Acerbic. Brilliant. Love it.
And yes to your implicit letter writing bias.

FYI, if you like Fran, I recently watched Pretend It’s a City, on Netflix. It is a 7 part conversation with her, directed by Martin Scorsese. I laughed and cringed alot. She is a force…
