I don’t have a list for this round of the reading challenge. My brain has been foggy and my attention unfocused as of late. I’m hoping inspiration will strike or a book will just fall on my head.
I’m leaning toward something pure fantasy or heavy on the magical realism to take me away from the onslaught of frightening news and the terrible unjust future this country is lurching towards.
Maybe a story about dragons who live on a sunny beach and have complex interpersonal drama.
Oh, Kate, I hear you. I wish books could conjure away the terrible reality of our democracy being dismantled bit by bit. Have you ever read My Father’s Dragon? It’s a children’s book, but like the best kids’ books, it resonates for grown-ups too. Here’s a link to the Wikipedia site:
