The Sun Is So Quiet by Nikki Giovanni

I’m struggling to believe I haven’t posted about this book of poetry by Nikki G, The Sun Is So Quiet, full of illustrations to support some excellent seasonal poetry. I looked for an earlier review but could not find one. Having an audience to read this book to really opens up the verse for conversation, interpretation and a deeper appreciation of the color that each page has to offer. This morning the poems “Rainbows” and “Kisses” were especially fun to read. I recommend keeping a copy of this book around if you can find one. My favorite poem from this collection is “Winter Poem”.
