This was my first ever reading group and it was awesome. I read so many amazing things and had a wonderful time writing some of my thoughts. Having a community of people doing the same was fun, I was surprised and interested in the frequency of spontaneous overlaps. I reached the session target the week
This book was written in the 80’s, and as you can see from the blurb on the front cover, it helped “usher in the age of memoirs.” I think there have become too many memoirs by half out there, so that’s not why I read (listened to) it; I wanted, instead, to read Annie Dillard.
Three pages in the soft hairs on my upper legs stood up, I knew then that this was going to be a wonderful book. After last weeks heavy read (even without the controversy it stirred) I proclaimed aloud that I wanted something a little lighter as my next selection. There I go again making quasi-public
Two ladies in the winner’s circle and it’s just the 5th! I cannot tell you how happy this makes me– though I am lagging behind with a limp 🙂 Well done, Kate and Teri– you are certainly making me stay inspired to finish my last few hundred pages. So, thank you for being here– it

Admittedly, I got lost these past few weeks in the never-ending storm of school. One of those time when lifting my head to breath felt like I was wasting precious time. Okay, that’s potentially an exaggeration. I have, however, not read one page of anything that wasn’t a textbook or a journal article for the
